Job descriptions at Amélys

Head chef

An assertive and passionate leader, the Chef is responsible for coordinating the activities of the residence's kitchen and dining room. He or she is responsible for meal planning and preparation. He or she manages the inventory and places orders. He or she supervises kitchen and dining room staff and ensures cleanliness.

Cook

Passionate about his or her profession, the cook brings dynamism and concern for the well-being of our seniors. A great team player, he or she prepares meals based on standardized recipe guides and ensures that dishes are tasty, hot and well-presented.

Dining room attendant

The dining room attendant serves meals, sets up and takes down tables, and maintains and disinfects the premises. At all times, he or she ensures the well-being and satisfaction of customers, while providing excellent service. The dining room attendant also provides dishwashing support as needed.

Dishwasher / Food helper

The dishwasher's role is discreet, but oh so useful and valued by our teams. They wash dishes, support the kitchen and dining room teams, maintain and disinfect work areas and equipment, and meticulously apply health and safety standards. A vital and physical role!

Home care attendant

Beneficiary attendants provide support for activities of daily living, such as: hygiene care, dressing, assistance with eating, supervision of medication intake, and safe accompaniment during trips and transfers within the home.

In-home respite care

As a Respite Attendant, your role will be to ensure the comfort and safety of our clients in the absence of their caregiver. He or she will also offer physical and/or cognitive stimulation activities adapted to the beneficiary's condition.

Home care attendant

The home care attendant rigorously carries out housekeeping in the various rooms of the home, all in accordance with the client's needs. He or she may also do the customer's laundry (clothes and bedding), occasionally cook simple, non-diet meals, and may occasionally run errands for customers.

Home help attendant - heavy work

Heavy-duty home care attendant

The heavy-duty home care attendant performs heavy-duty household tasks in addition to light-duty work. He or she cleans walls, ceilings, windows, blinds, fans, light fixtures, refrigerators, ovens, the backs of appliances, electrical baseboards and the backs of furniture.

Coordinator

The incumbent is responsible for coordinating the division's services, supervising home care attendants in their duties, managing daily priorities, and liaising with various partners and organizations. Efficiency, active listening and a keen sense of customer service are a must!
