Job descriptions at Amélys

Head chef

An assertive and passionate leader, the Chef is responsible for coordinating the activities of the residence's kitchen and dining room. He is responsible for meal planning and preparation. He manages the inventory and places orders. He supervises kitchen and dining room staff and ensures cleanliness.

Cook

Passionate about his profession, the cook brings dynamism and concern for the well-being of our seniors. A great team player, he prepares meals based on standardized recipe guides and ensures that dishes are tasty, hot and well-presented.

Dining room attendant

The dining room attendant serves meals, sets up and takes down tables, and maintains and disinfects the premises. At all times, he ensures the well-being and satisfaction of customers, while providing excellent service. The dining room attendant also provides dishwashing support as needed.

Diver / Food helper

The dishwasher's role is discreet, but oh so useful and valued by our teams. He wash dishes, support the kitchen and dining room teams, maintain and disinfect work areas and equipment, and meticulously apply sanitary standards. A vital and physical role!

Care attendant

The care attendant provide support for activities of daily living, such as: hygiene care, dressing, assistance with eating, supervision of medication intake, and safe accompaniment during movements and transfers within the home.

Home respite attendant

As a respite care attendant, his role is to ensure the comfort and safety of our customers in the absence of their caregiver. He also offer physical and/or cognitive stimulation activities adapted to the client's condition.

Home care attendant

The home care attendant performs rigorous housekeeping in the various rooms of the home, in accordance with the needs of the client. He may also do laundry (clothes and bedding), cook simple, non-diet meals and run errands for clients.

Home care attendant - heavy housework

The home care attendant - heavy housework performs heavy-duty household tasks in addition to light-duty work. He cleans walls, ceilings, windows, blinds, fans, light fixtures, refrigerators, ovens, the backs of appliances, electrical baseboards and the backs of furniture.

Coordinator

The person is responsible for coordinating the delivery of services to his/her division, supervising employees in their duties, managing day-to-day priorities, and liaising with various partners and organizations. Efficiency, active listening and a keen sense of customer service are in the spotlight!
