Treat yourself to a moment of respite

To give caregivers a chance to catch their breath, our team of caregivers offers short and long-term respite time slots.

You could then take a moment for yourself, whether for rest or for tasks to be accomplished, with the peace of mind of knowing your loved one is in good hands.

Human companionship has its advantages and, above all, allows your loved one to spend time with someone they can trust, a familiar and caring face, in a comforting and reassuring atmosphere. Our caregivers take great pride in organizing stimulating or relaxing activities to suit each individual's needs.

Thanks to the financial support of l'Appui, an organization that helps improve the quality of life of caregivers of the elderly and facilitate their daily lives, three free respite services are now available to caregivers.

Our respite formulas

Chouette-journée is a daytime respite program lasting 6 hours a week. For a period of 12 consecutive weeks, an attendant takes over from the caregiver, giving him or her the opportunity to enjoy a day of personal time.

Chouette-nuit respite is an overnight respite of 12 hours per week. For a period of 12 consecutive weeks, an attendant takes over from the caregiver, giving him or her the chance to get a good night's sleep.

Respite Évasion is a long-term respite of around 56 hours. This respite allows caregivers to leave to recharge their batteries and take some time for themselves. A qualified caregiver takes over in their home. The week before the Escape, the caregiver makes an initial 4-hour visit. During this visit, she gets to know the person being cared for and the caregiver.
