A stable and structured schedule:

Week 1: Monday 11:30 AM–6:00 PM / Tuesday 10:30 AM–6:00 PM / Wednesday and Thursday 11:30 AM–6:00 PM and Friday 10:30 AM–6:00 PM (30-minute break)
Week 2: Monday 11:30 AM–6:00 PM / Tuesday 10:30 AM–6:00 PM / Wednesday and Thursday 11:30 AM–6:00 PM and Friday 10:30 AM–6:00 PM (30-minute break)
Week 3: Monday 11:30 AM–6:00 PM / Tuesday 10:30 AM–6:00 PM / Wednesday and Thursday 11:30 AM–6:00 PM / Friday off / Saturday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM (30-minute break) Week 4: Sunday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM / Monday 11:30 AM–6:00 PM / Tuesday closed, Wednesday and Thursday 11:30 AM–6:00 PM, and Friday (30-minute break)

We need your expertise to

Under the supervision of the head chef and in collaboration with the food service supervisor, the cook actively contributes to the preparation of high-quality meals and portioning, while ensuring the cleanliness of the premises and equipment. Versatile and meticulous, the cook supports daily kitchen operations and may be called upon to stand in for the head chef as needed, thereby ensuring the continuity and efficiency of service.

Prepare delicious and beautifully presented meals 

• Prepare, cook, and assemble high-quality meals according to standardized recipes  

• Ensure that dishes are always hot, flavorful, and visually appealing  

• Minimize waste and stick to the recommended portions  

• Serve meals in the dining room, handle takeout orders, and make deliveries  

• Ensure food rotation and maintain an efficient setup for the next shifts  

• Help out in the dishwashing area as needed to support the team 

Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation  

• Always adhere to hygiene, sanitation, and health and safety standards  

• Complete the required records and ensure that procedures are consistently followed  

• Keep work areas clean, safe, and in compliance with MAPAQ standards 

Provide exceptional customer service 

• Contribute to resident satisfaction through a positive and attentive presence  

• Work closely with the residence management to ensure high-quality service 

Skills

Diploma of Professional Studies in Cooking
Food hygiene and safety training (MAPAQ)
Team-oriented
Autonomy, empathy, respect, humanism, punctuality and professionalism
Experience with seniors (asset)
1-2 years' work experience as a cook
French language skills
Knowledge of the healthcare field (asset)
Previous similar experience (asset)
