Hours: Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Job summary

Under the supervision of the head chef (and in collaboration with the food service supervisor), the incumbent assists with meal preparation and portioning while ensuring that the premises and equipment are kept clean.

Meal preparation

Participates in setting up meals and other preparations required by the chef and cooks.
Reheat meals prepared by the chef and cooks before serving.
Ensures waste minimization and portion conformity.
Serves dining room meals, takeaways and deliveries.
Participates in the rotation of food/products in stock according to established procedures.
Set up for the following shifts.
Performs the dive in the diver's absence (occasional).

Hygiene and health

Carries out the set-up, ensuring that health and safety standards are met at all times.
Ensures that existing registers are completed and that standards are applied at all times.
Keeps work areas clean (according to standards) and actively participates in their maintenance.

Customer service

Ensures customer satisfaction and maintains good collaboration with residence management.

Skills

Sense of priorities, autonomy, flexibility and resourcefulness
Ability to establish good working relationships with all staff
High school diploma
1-2 years kitchen experience
MAPAQ food hygiene and safety training (an asset)
WHMIS training (very good asset)
Sense of ethics and professionalism
Good adaptability
Task planning and organization
